Investigators attached to Family Support Unit (FSU) Rogbaneh division in Makeni have on Saturday intimated Provincial Times Newspaper that 50 yrs old Foday Kamara is in their custody helping in their investigation in a case of abuse of minor and incest.

Police say suspect happened to be the senior brother of the girl’s guardian and that they were residing at the same house in a street in Makeni.

The guardian aunty of the 13yrs old pregnant victim Mabinty Conteh told police that herself and her husband are running a small merchandise shop where they normally sleep, whilst the victim and her younger kids sleep in their room in the same building.

She told the police that the accused also have a room in the same house.

She said she was never aware that her daughter was 5months pregnant until a visiting friend encouraged her to sought medical attention at a neighborhood pharmacy where test carried on her confirmed that the girl was pregnant.

She further explained that on interrogation of the girl she discovered that she had been severally raped by her uncle on the maternal bed of his junior brother.

FSU officers confirmed the alleged perpetrator has made a confessional statement of the act, and the matter charged to court.

Human Rights activist Madam Emilia Kamara Jengo who visited the home of the victim has expressed an urgent need to relocate the victim from her current location to a safe home for her safety and well-being.

A credible source has also informed this medium of behind the scenes effort by a top government official in the city to compromise the issue.
