On Thursday 16th October 2025, Makeni Residents of Makeni City were left in shock today following the discovery of an unidentified dead body at Care Junction, along the Freetown Highway in the Looking Town Community.
According to eyewitnesses, the lifeless body was found early this morning by passersby, who immediately alerted local residents. The deceased had no means of identification, making it difficult to determine his name, origin, or cause of death.
Concerned citizens have called on the Makeni City Council and the Sierra Leone Police Force to urgently investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Residents expressed worry over the growing number of unexplained deaths and heightened security concerns in the area, urging authorities to increase patrols and ensure public safety.
As of reporting, the body remains at the scene, awaiting police and relevant authorities for proper examination and identification. An official statement is expected once preliminary investigations are completed.
