A tragic ambulance accident near the River Rokel has claimed the lives of a pregnant woman and a well-known pharmacist from Mile 91, according to reports emerging from Magburaka.
Witness accounts indicated that the ambulance was transporting the pregnant woman from Mile 91 to Magburaka when it was involved in a fatal crash close to the River Rokel.
Mr. Salieu, a popular pharmacy owner in Mile 91, was confirmed dead at the scene. His body was taken to the mortuary at the Magburaka Government Hospital.
The pregnant woman being transported in the ambulance also reportedly lost her life as a result of the accident.
As of the time the incident was reported, details about the condition of the ambulance driver remained unknown. Although Mr. Salieu was identified, the full identity of the pregnant woman had not yet been formally disclosed by authorities.
Authorities are yet to release any official statement on the cause of the crash, as investigations are believed to be ongoing.
Excessive speeding & loss of control might possibly be the cause of that tragic incident. May the good Lord save the souls of the departed ones. RIP
