The Tankoro Police Division have arrested two security officers and and four senior EDSA officers to help with investigation into damage caused on the EDSA transformer copper cables at the 555 Sport Community and Old Power House in Koidu.

The damage of the transformer copper cables are said to have taken place between the 26th September and 2nd October 2021. The damage of the electricity system caused power outage in Koidu City.

The Local Unit Commander (LUC) Superintendent Franklyn Bawoh stated that the police are looking into matter to know who the actual culprits were.

The Ministry of Works and Public Assets, Philip T. Tondorneh has condemned the damage, stating that the damage is politically motivated and that the matter should be thoroughly investigated and perpetrators brought to book.
