The European Union Elections Observation Mission in Sierra Leone (EU EOM) has started their observation process after the launch and engagement of several political parties who signed to a peace process, ensuring to grant peace before during and after the elections in June.

The EU EOM is well committed to ensure a well-balanced observation at all the levels of the election throughout the country.

As the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) conducts training session for Locality Electoral Education Committees (LEECs) across the country, the EU EOM plays their maiden role to observe the process at every part in the country.

The mission has also embarked on assessing whether women, as voters and as candidates, are granted full enjoyment of equal rights.
