APC Convention: 6 Members Join National Executive Unopposed
Binta Koroma Six members of the Opposition party, All People’s Congress (APC) elected unopposed members of the National Executive of the party’s Transitional Interim Independent Elections Management Committee (TIIEMC) at the National Delegate Conference in Makeni on Saturday the 18th of February 2023.
The six members and their positions that went unopposed are Mohamed Pope Kamara for Deputy National Publicity Secretary, National Legal Adviser 1. Africanus Sorie Sesay, Deputy National Legal Adviser 2, Hon Agibola Manley Spain, National Treasurer, Mrs Memunatu Koroma and National Auditor, Saidu Jabbie.
According to TIIEMC Chairman, Lawyer Ibrahim Sorie Kamara, the six unopposed members are the first members to join the party’s National Executive cadre since the party revised its 1995 constitution to the 2022 APC Constitution which is now in play.
The Transition Interim Independent Elections Management Committee (TIEMC) of the All Peoples Congress party, was established by the 7th March 2022 APC Constitution in the Transitional Provisions in Article 82. f.
