The Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone (ACC) has won the 2025 National Service Delivery Award in recognition of its leadership and achievements in the fight against corruption.

The award was presented on 13 December 2025 at the District Council Hall in Port Loko City, North-Western Region. The ceremony was organized by the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation (BBHF) to honour institutions and individuals who made significant contributions to national development and service delivery during the year.

The award was received on behalf of the ACC by the Deputy Commissioner, Augustine Foday Ngobie, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Foday Ngobie, and staff of the Commission’s North-West Regional Office.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ngobie expressed appreciation to the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation for the recognition, noting that the award serves as encouragement for the Commission to continue its work.

He assured the public that the ACC would remain committed to carrying out its mandate in an unbiased, transparent, and professional manner, adding that the Commission remains resolute in its efforts to combat corruption and support Sierra Leone’s development agenda.

Mr. Ngobie emphasized the importance of patriotism in the national fight against corruption, stating that the Commission will continue to place Sierra Leone first in all its operations.

The ACC has received several national and international recognitions over the years for its anti-corruption efforts. Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala has also been honoured multiple times for leadership in the fight against corruption, including awards at the National Heroes Awards, Global Leadership Summit, Sierra Ovation Awards, and National Professionals Awards. In 2023, the ACC also won the Education Champion Award for promoting integrity within the education sector.

Internationally, Sierra Leone’s anti-corruption efforts have been reflected in improvements in global indices, including Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index and the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s control of corruption indicators.
