The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced the indictment of Raymond Frank Williams and Fatmata Madallo Sesay on five counts of corruption offences.

Williams, a First Grade Officer in the Law Officers Department of the Attorney General, resides at 121 Kissy Road, Freetown. Sesay is a resident of Thaimu Bangura Drive, Barbadorie, Freetown.

Sesay faces one count of Giving an Advantage to a Public Officer and one count of Offering an Advantage to a Public Officer, both under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 12 of 2008, amended by the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Act No. 9 of 2019.

Williams is charged with one count of Accepting an Advantage, one count of Abuse of Office, and one count of Use of Office for Advantage by a Public Officer, also under the amended Anti-Corruption Act.

According to the ACC, between October 1 and October 30, 2022, Sesay allegedly gave Williams 1.5 million old Leones to facilitate the filing and registration of a Testamentary Will prepared by the late Abdul Rahman Sesay.

The ACC has reiterated its commitment to tackling corruption at all levels within Sierra Leone.
