The Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone and the Ministry of Information and Civic Education signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday  5th June 2025.

The significance of the signing of this memorandum of understanding is to foster togetherness in the fight against corruption.

According to the commissioner, Francis Ben Kaifala, it is a strong push towards a unified front against corruption, and considering that corruption is a civic education issue, he further added that ACC and the Ministry of Information and Civic Education have signed a historic memorandum of understanding and cooperation agreement.

To jointly unite resources, efforts, and programmes to push forward the objective of tackling corruption and educating the public on its ills, going forward. he stated.

Without strong watchdog institutions, impunity becomes the very foundation upon which systems of corruption are built. And if impunity is not demolished, all efforts to bring an end to corruption are in vain.

Also, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)  concludes a four-day Training of Trainers on Corruption Risk Management (CRM), organized by UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Partnership with the ACC.
