The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has today, Monday 25 July 2022 hosted a delegation from Banjul, The Gambia at its Headquarter office in Freetown.
ACC reveals that the delegation comprises stakeholders in the implementation of the World Bank supported poverty alleviation Social Safety Net (SSN) Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), and they are here to learn, understudy and share experiences with the ACC on the World Bank and GoSL supported GRM component of the SSN.
“The Nine-man delegation is led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Vice President in The Gambia, Mr. Tarawally,” ACC noted.
“The GRM is a component of the SSN that was established to make it easy and safe for project beneficiaries to communicate their greviances and complaints to the ACC and ensure that prompt.and adequate actions are taken to address them, with the view to sustaining transparency, accountability and integrity in the project.”
It could be recalled that in November last year (2021), a team from The Gambia was also in Sierra Leone to understudy the work of the ACC ahead of the establishment of an anti graft agency in that Republic.
