In a heated political exchange, Ady Macauley, a senior lawyer and prominent member of Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC), has criticized Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh for labeling the APC as an “unprogressive party.” Macauley’s response has further fueled the ongoing rivalry between the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the APC.

Reacting to Sengeh’s comments, Macauley urged the Chief Minister to focus on pressing issues within his own party and personal controversies. “A few people have asked for my thoughts on recent comments by Chief Minister, David Sengeh. My advice: His focus should be on resolving ongoing tensions within his own party and addressing allegations of plagiarism surrounding his recently released book, Radical Inclusion. These issues deserve immediate attention and constructive action,” Macauley stated.
