Preparations are underway for the official launch of the Ady Macauley Movement, a political and community-driven initiative aligned with the All People’s Congress (APC) vision of unity, development, and expanded opportunities for citizens across Sierra Leone.

The launch is scheduled for Thursday, 18 December 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Fourah Bay Field in Freetown, under the theme “Building Bridges & Creating Opportunities for All.” Organisers say the event is open to the general public and is expected to attract supporters, community leaders, and APC members from across the Western Area and beyond.

According to organisers, the Ady Macauley Movement aims to promote inclusive growth through community development initiatives, youth empowerment programmes, and platforms that encourage active civic participation. The movement is also positioned within Ady Macauley’s broader political engagement, as reflected in the campaign message #VoteAdy2026, which highlights his national leadership ambitions.

The launch programme will feature keynote addresses, community-focused discussions, interactive engagement sessions, and live performances by renowned musicians, providing attendees with opportunities to learn more about the movement’s objectives and explore avenues for involvement.

Meanwhile, the Western Region Executive of the All People’s Congress (APC) has officially endorsed and extended its support to the launch of the movement.

In a statement issued on 11 December 2025, the Western Region Secretariat disclosed that Ady Macauley, described as an APC flagbearer aspirant, paid a courtesy visit to the Region’s Executive Committee to formally inform them of the movement and seek their support.

The statement commended Macauley for observing proper party protocol and engaging regional leadership through established channels. It reaffirmed the Western Region Executive’s commitment to supporting all APC members with leadership aspirations, while promoting fairness, unity, and effective coordination within the party.

“All districts in the Western Region are officially invited to support this initiative,” the statement noted, underscoring the party’s dedication to inclusivity and internal cohesion.

Organisers of the Ady Macauley Movement say the initiative is focused on strengthening communities and contributing to a more united and prosperous Sierra Leone, calling on citizens from all walks of life to participate in the launch and the movement’s activities going forward.
