Top African music group, The Afroseas made another breakthrough in the world of entertainment as it featured on major blogs and posts across in the United State, UK and other part of the world.
The group was featured on popular blogs like The Washington Mail, Tycoon Herald, The Michigan Post, The Boston Courier, London Defender, New York Today and others which gave a brief introduction of it.
The Afroseas music group comprises of Sierra Leonean born, Supa Massie and his friend from Rwanda, Trisyo. The duo based in Hong Kong in the Asia continent where they formed the music group which specialized in Afrobeat genre in Asia and Africa. Supa Massie is the leading vocalist of the group and they have released hit songs like Ayee, Tender Loving, Rotate, Coupe Decale, Baby na Fire and others.
Leading vocalist, Supa Massie is one of the most popular Sierra Leonean artistes in Hong Kong and Asia pacific and they are the biggest Afrobeat group in the region. Alongside his Rwanda friend, Trisyo – in the same music group, they have been performing in some events in Hong Kong before the lockdown of the COVID-19. They also performed in the Hong Kong Music Festival in 2021.
In 2021, their song, “Rotate” was featured on the New York Times Square Billboard in the United States, making him the first Sierra Leonean artiste to be featured on such platform. The song has gained thousands of plays on digital platforms and the video has over 37,000 views on YouTube. Their first single “Ayee” made a breakthrough in Sierra Leone and across Africa. The video has over 123,000 views on YouTube.
As a young entrepreneur and CEO, Supa Massie set up his studio in Hong Kong where they are doing all their songs with support from topnotch producers across the world. He has been a supporter of Sierra Leone Entertainment and partnered with many entertainers with his clothing brand called Catmassie Clothing.
The Afroseas is set to release their first EP which will consist of 8 tracks with standard videos and international collaborations.
