The Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC) which was established to the court order of justice Adrian J Fisher, dated 28th April 2021, is charged with the responsibility to man the overall affairs of the party until the first National Delegates Conference (NDC), has through the fourteen-man in the ITGC representing the All People’s Congress (APC) party.
Alfred Peter Conteh, chairman of the Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC) of the All People’s Congress (APC) has allegedly worked out of the APC-PPRC meeting.
Over the past months, there has been a series of confusions within the APC which is affecting the party greatly.
Recently the ITGC chairman Alfred Peter Conteh stated new executive members of the ITGC which the membership of the APC frowned at and the student union body of the party rejected the newly appointed executive body.
The Regulatory body for all Political Parties PPRC gives the ITGC a 60 days ultimatum to conduct all lower lever elections within the party.
The commission also invited the elders of the APC to update them about happenings in the Interim Governance of the party and to solicit elderly intervention in chanting the way forward of the party.
The PPRC in a letter said they have tried all they could to call the members of the ITGC to order but their efforts have always been fruitless.
In another press release read by the Secretary General of ITGC Abdul Kargbo has urged the chairman Alfred Peter Conteh to resign if he can’t manage the party effectively as the court orders.
The Secretary-General Abdul Kargbo accused Alfred Peter Conteh of Maladministration, he stated that the chairman has been publishing several misleading press releases purportedly on behalf of the ITGC members, which he said is an anti-party activity.
The press release also accused the chairman Alfred Peter Conteh of doing the thing he initially took the party to court for stating that the chairman and his cohorts are paid agents’ activities to restrain the APC party from winning the 2023 elections.
