Popular politician from Port Loko District, and Serra Leone, current Minister of Works, Housing and Infrastructures; Hon. Alhaji Kemoh Sesay has on Wednesday 24th August, 2016, during a radio interview said that the district, and some stakeholders will not support the presidential intentions of Hon. Alhaji Alpha Bakarr Kanu.

It could be recalled that Hon. Alpha Khanu, who is currently a special adviser to President Koroma, and also a descendant from Port Loko district declared to lead the All Peoples Congress (APC) as Presidential candidate in the 2018 election.

He cited his experience over the years, after working as close ally to President Koroma, as parliamentarian, minister and as special adviser to the President.

However, Hon. Alhaji Kemoh Sesay reacted to the declaration of his Port Loko political rival as “untimely.” He further said that the people of Port Loko District will not support Hon. Alpha Khanu because he did not consult them before making such a move.
