An ambulance collided with a trailer parked on the road this morning at Jamatter Junction, near the entrance to Milla Factory.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities. However, the ambulance driver was injured and is reported to be in severe pain.
The trailer was stationary on the road when the ambulance collided with it, causing some damage to both vehicles.
It is not yet clear whether the ambulance was speeding or carrying a patient at the time of the crash. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
Government through the Sierra Leone Road Safty Authority (SLRSA) really need to put robust measures in place as to getting off the roads all breakdown vehicles immediately they breakdown in order to avoid accidents of such.
