To foster unity within the All People’s Congress (APC), key leaders and members of the party’s affiliated groups gathered in Waterloo for an Iftar, the traditional fast-breaking meal during Ramadan.

The event, held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Rural District Council Hall, was spearheaded by Chairman Kashor Holland Cole, who also serves as the APC Western Region Chairman, alongside Honourable Abu Bakar Fofanah, APC Rural District Chairman.

The gathering aimed to promote peace and unity among members of the APC and its affiliated groups. It brought together both party members and non-members under one roof to pray for harmony within the party and across the nation. The event was graced by Comrade Hassan Samakarr Kamara, Chairman of the Council of Affiliated Groups of the APC, who emphasized the importance of togetherness.

In his address, Kamara urged all APC-affiliated groups to remain united, stating that the strength of the party lies in its cohesion. “Now more than ever, we must put aside our differences and work together for the progress of the APC and the country as a whole,” he stated.

Speaking on the significance of the gathering, Henry Sorie Koroma, popularly known as CEO German Kat and Secretary of the Western Urban Affiliated Group, stressed the spiritual and social relevance of the Iftar. “This occasion is a reminder that unity is key. During this holy month of Ramadan and Lent, we must come together in the presence of God, recognizing that APC stands for ‘All People’s Congress,’ not tribalism or regionalism,” German Kat said.

The Iftar gathering served as a platform for reconciliation, dialogue, and reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to inclusivity and national development. Attendees expressed their hope that such initiatives would continue, strengthening relationships among APC members and fostering a more united political front.
