Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi Esq., delivered a significant update regarding the arrest of Bai Mahmoud Bangura, the National Organising Secretary of the APC (All People’s Congress).

The minister shed light on a startling connection between Mahmoud and one of the alleged coup plotters, Mohamed Kodia Jalloh, who was found at Mahmoud’s residence during a police operation.

According to the minister, one of the coup plotters, known as Mohamed Kodia Jalloh,who according to police investigation took active part in the November 26 coup attempt was discovered at Bai Mahmoud’s residence during a police investigation into the November 26 coup attempt. Jalloh was found in possession of seven pairs of military uniforms.

The minister clarified that Mohamed Kodia Jalloh had been dismissed from the Army since 2019.

Minister Sandi revealed that law enforcement authorities promptly apprehended Jalloh, the alleged assailant, and took Bai Mahmoud in for questioning.
