The All People’s Congress (APC) has on 8 September, 2021 withdrawn their membership from the All Political Parties Association (APPA).

In a letter written to the All Political Party Association, the APC highlighted reasons for withdrawing its membership from the Association, noting that the APC disassociate itself from the APPA.

The All People’s Congress explained that the APPA continues to contravene its Mission and Vision statement, so the APC can no longer be part of such institution.

The APC noted that they are discontinuing their membership because the APPA is not keeping up to the provisions which that:

That “We are inspired to collectively uphold and sustain democratic norms and values as foundations for the prosperity of Sierra Leone.”

That “To serve as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and collaboration among leadership of political parties for the advancement of electoral democracy and economic prosperity in Sierra Leone.”

The APC has instructed its members to discontinue all activities with or at the APPA.
