Bo District, witnessed a distressing incident today as the office of the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) party reportedly set on fire by unknown perpetrators. 

The targeted building is reportedly owned by Cecelia Ngobeh, the esteemed chairlady of the APC.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of party members in the region.

According to eyewitness reports, the APC’s district office in Bo became the epicenter of a severe attack, with flames rapidly spreading throughout the premises. Tragically, Cecelia Ngobeh and her family are believed to be trapped inside the burning building, awaiting rescue. However, the local authorities, including the police, are allegedly failing to take immediate action to control the situation, leaving the trapped individuals vulnerable.

Expressing deep concern over the incident, Mohamed Foday Kallon, Deputy Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the APC in the South, took to social media to shed light on the situation.

The All People’s Congress Party is under serious attack in Bo District and the party’s District office is currently on Fire with the District Chairlady and her family trapped inside the building. The Police is actually doing nothing to put the situation under control and our party’s members are nolonger safe. We draw the attention of all international partners and the international community to this ugly situation before it get out of hands!” Kallon posted.
