The government of Sierra Leone has charged 12 people arrested and detained in connection with the November 26th failed coup attempt.
The charged persons include Amadu ‘Koita’ Makalo, a retired military officer and alleged ringleader of the failed coup. Also charged is Bai Mahmoud Bangura, the National Organising Secretary of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) and 10 others.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, the charges include treason, misprision of treason, habouring, aiding, and abetting the enemy, among others.

This is great moves by the government. I trust EBK will now be drawn into the web since adequate evidence from Konya and others point directly to him as there’s no way he will exonerate himself.

18 loyal democratic soldiers died on 26th of November 2023 to defend our land and d 1991 constitution. Please we urge speedy trial of the coupiest and justice for our loyal Army officers.
The case was adjoined until January 9, 2023! They can go back in time now? Our government has to start doing better. We too buff
