Minister of Communication, Technology, and Innovation, Salima Monorma Bah, made a significant contribution to the digital empowerment of Sierra Leone, donating Starlink internet equipment and solar power systems to the SLPP youth in Kailahun.
The donation, made on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio, is aimed at bolstering connectivity and promoting access to ICT services in the region.
Minister Bah, one of the youngest cabinet members, emphasized the importance of digital inclusion, aligning her efforts with the New Direction manifesto. Speaking to the SLPP youth, she highlighted the government’s commitment to improving connectivity, particularly in rural areas, and encouraging youth participation in the tech sector.
The donation of Starlink systems will provide reliable internet access, enhancing communication within the party and the wider Kailahun community. Meanwhile, the solar equipment is set to power local connectivity efforts, providing sustainable energy solutions to drive further development.
This move reflects Minister Bah’s ongoing dedication to bridging the digital divide and her role in advancing President Bio’s vision of a technologically empowered Sierra Leone.
