After the announcement of new Inspector General of Police by the President Dr Julius Maada Bio, many concerns have been raised by the public.

Some of these concerns are why the former IGP sacked, what difference will the new IGP make in the Sierra Leone Police and country at large etc.

Popular lawyer Basita Michael has went on and congratulated the newly appointed Inspector General of Police and hope to be better in his service.

In her post she states that, she hope the new IGP will combat police brutality and will carry out his duties in accordance with national interest.

“Congratulations Mr. William Fayia Sellu on your appointment as Inspector General of Police. We hope and pray that your administration will end police brutality and bring about a price force to be proud of. We are also hopeful that you will make conscious efforts to avoid that day when you will have to look back and wish you carried out your duties in accordance with the National interest rule of law and good conscience”.
