Popular Lawyer and Former President of the Sierra Leone Bar Association, Basita Michael has been named in the released Reputation Poll International’s list of 100 Most Reputable Africans in 2023.
Reputation Poll International (RPI) is a leading global reputation firm dedicated to recognizing people, groups, and businesses who continually improve lives in Africa and around the world.
Its just released list featured individuals from diverse sectors including; Governance/Leadership, Entertainment, Human rights/Advocacy, Education, and Business, selected on the criteria of Integrity, cisibility, and Impact.
Basita Michael was featured because of her strong contributions to social impact.
Basita Michael is the Founder & Governing Officer Institute for Legal Research & Advocacy for Justice, founder of the Sieraeye Magazine, Barrister and Solicitor and Former President of the Sierra Leone Bar Association.
She is one of the lawyers who continues to speak out in favor of her fellow citizens’ rights and in support of the disadvantaged and marginalized.
Among prominent personalities featured on the list are also Kenya’s Amina Chawahir Mohamed, South Africa’s Bonang Mohale, Chancellor at the University of the Free State and Professor at Johannesburg Business School; and Cameroon’s Njoya Tiku, Manager of the UNDP Regional Office in West and Central Africa.
