The government has announced that Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, Conrad Sackey will announce the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results on Monday afternoon, November 18 live on Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).
“Parents, candidates, school authorities and the general public are hereby encouraged to listen to the announcement,” the Ministry said.
The BECE is a crucial examination that sees the transition of pupils from the Junior Secondary School to the Senior Secondary School. In recent times, the country has seen an increment in both the number of candidates and passes in the exam.
The exam, which was considered a requirement for some public service jobs, is taken every June and or July by all government or government-assisted schools and some private schools in the country.
