In a recent fiery exchange on Facebook, Michael Berewa, popularly known as Myk Berewa, the Director of Communications and aide to the President of Sierra Leone, clashed with John Edriss Lahaii, a prominent social media influencer advocating for issues related to the country’s growth.
Lahaii has been at the forefront of exposing cases of fake degrees among government officials and highlighting instances of corruption within the government. His relentless efforts to address these critical matters have garnered significant attention on social media platforms.
Responding to Lahaii’s recent posts criticizing the current administration under the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Myk Berewa urged him to stop spreading what he deemed as “fake news” and instead join forces with the government to contribute positively to the development of Sierra Leone.
However, Lahaii was quick to reject Berewa’s call, asserting that the presidential aide lacks a sense of reverence for God by inviting him to join their alleged “cabal.”
Checkout their conversations below:
“My friend try to come back and let’s try to make and improve this country, stop sharing this too much of fake news, you have too much to give back to this country.” MYK Berewa
“God Forbid. You do not fear God to ask me to come and join your cabal? Smh” J.E Lahaii
“Well you will have to spend more time grumbling, we are still in governance” MYK Berewa.
