Police in Central Freetown have shot local hip-hop artist, Mohamed Massaquoi popularly known as Big Fish.
Reports indicate that the artist snatched a gun from an OSD officer (paramilitary police) and started shooting in the air.
It also stated that he was shot dead by security forces in the central business district of the Sierra Leonean capital.

Oh Salone Police and military, they’re not properly trained to handle any situation, they’re all trigger happy.
If the OSD was really trained, how can a common civilian overpower him and took his gun?
They shouldn’t have killed him, they should have give him few warnings and if he refuses, they shoot him in the legs and took the gun from him and arrested him, but our police and military are not trained for such.
All they teaches them in training camp and HQ is to stop drivers and riders and collect bribe.

Just watching news: the victim took q police officer’s gun and started firing indiscriminately at people. He was asked to put the gun down by another police officer but he shot at the officer twice, resulting in him being gunned down.

Sierra Leone police are not train at all, the only thing they know is to run after bike riders and podapoda drivers and collect bribes from them.

Oh salone why are some people so bias in judgment. Frankly speaking the Soldier did the right thing and intact he should be motivated.
In the USA, police will shoot at you for making an attempt to put your hands in your pocket when halted, I can’t say you holding a gun disarmed from a police officer and shooting indiscriminately in a public setting. You will be shot on sight.
Do we appreciate our security forces? They are human beings like us. Your suggested method of disarmament in that situation would have resulted to lost of innocent lives.

Thank God for the life of people, what if he kills the soldier, what will you say, Sierra Leonean we are the same one will say this soldier is not well trained right. Big fish was firing the gun at the soldier if is what did you do, you will stand looking at big fish gun you down?

Big Fish decided to go that same way. He shot at a civilian first then also shot at a soldier. No other option to treat this merciless and brutal act of Big Fist Foday Allieu except the return fire of a trained soldier.
I warn every soldier to put a bullet proof on because such an event of Big Fish may occur at any time.
