Sierra Leone’s President, Dr Julius Maada Bio, has appointed Andrew Bob Johnny as Statistician General of the Statistic Sierra Leone, replacing Proff Osman Sankoh, commonly known as Mallam O.

This appointment was made via a letter dated the 31st January, 2023, and it is to take effect on the 1st April, 2023.

The newly appointed Statistician General was the Deputy Statistician General of Statistics Sierra Leone. He was appointed as Deputy Statistician General (DSG) in September 2019.
