During the National Town Hall meeting, President Bio addressed concerns and rumors circulating about electoral justice and calls for another election. He firmly stated that there will be no elections in Sierra Leone until 2028.

President Bio emphasized that neither the Tripartite body nor he, as president, can deliver electoral justice. He clarified that only the Supreme Court of Sierra Leone has the authority to provide such justice.

He pointed out that the opposition, despite calling for electoral justice, has not sought redress from the court. President Bio urged everyone to give peace a chance and allow his government to continue its work.

President Bio stated that the Tripartite initiative was his idea because he wanted to demonstrate transparency and show that he has nothing to hide. He emphasized that he does not steal elections, asserting that those who steal money are the ones who steal elections, and he is not someone who steals money.

The National Town Hall meeting is part of President Bio’s initiative to ensure citizens have the opportunity to directly ask questions about government policies, programs, and their impact on their lives. Questions can be submitted via email or text message, promoting transparency and engagement between the government and the people.
