The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, President Julius Maada Bio at the state house decorated and honored newly promoted Brigadier Generals of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces.

These newly appointed Army Generals were appointed on the 11th of March 2024 in a press release From President Dr Julius Maada Bio.

The President has honored the promotion of several senior officers to the prestigious rank of Brigadier-General or its equivalent.

These appointments, which signify a new era in military leadership, were as follows:

1. Colonel Alimamy O. Koroma, slated for promotion to Brigadier General, will assume the role of Commander 2 Infantry Brigade.

2. Colonel Albert Jusu, set to become Brigadier General, will take on the responsibilities of Commander 3 Infantry Brigade.

3. Colonel Kemoh T. Sesay, to be promoted to Brigadier General, will serve as Commander 4 Infantry Brigadier.

4. Colonel George M. Bangura, appointed as Brigadier General, will lead as Commander 5 Infantry Brigade.

5. Colonel Sahr DT Ngaujah, ascending to Brigadier General, will assume an important role yet to be specified.

6. Colonel Mohamed Fofana, position yet to be disclosed.

7. Group Captain Hassan S. Coomber, promoted to Air Commodore, will become ACDS, Support and Logistics.

8. Colonel Sheik S. Massaquoi, set to become Brigadier General, will serve as Chief of Staff HQ-JFC.
