His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has expressed profound sorrow as he bid farewell to his beloved sister, Elizabeth Baby Bio, during a solemn funeral service held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Community Church in Tihun.
Her passing, President Bio reflected, has left an irreplaceable void in their family.
During his tribute, President Bio spoke with deep emotion about the qualities that defined his late sister, describing her as humble, hardworking, and unwavering in her dedication to her family.
“She was humble and hardworking. No family member could ever say she was not dedicated. She would virtually do everything for a family member with a very humble heart,” he said, highlighting her selfless nature.
The President also emphasized Elizabeth’s role in maintaining peace and unity within the family, recalling the joy and camaraderie she fostered.
“Today, as we say goodbye to you, we will miss the fun you used to share with us. No one in this family can say you ever wronged them. You were selfless, and the gap you have left will not be easily filled,” he remarked, his voice heavy with grief.
Elizabeth Baby Bio was laid to rest in the Tihun town cemetery, where grieving family members and close friends gathered to honor her memory and bid a final farewell. Her legacy of love and devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
