His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has received a delegation from the National Mandingo Union of Sierra Leone, led by its President and Mansa, Alhaji Kanja I. Sesay, in a courtesy visit at State House.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Union to update the President on its activities aimed at promoting peace, national cohesion, and unity among Mandingo communities across the country. Alhaji K Sesay introduced the current leadership of the Union and highlighted its nationwide support, while reaffirming their commitment to fostering harmony and resolving internal disputes amicably.

President Bio commended the Union for its efforts in maintaining peace and cohesion, emphasizing that Sierra Leone’s strength lies in its diversity.
He applauded the Union’s initiatives to preserve the Mandingo language and culture and reiterated his government’s unwavering commitment to national unity and peaceful coexistence.
