The visit of President Julius Maada Bio and the Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh in honouring the invitation of the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres has been of great dividends for the country as was seen by many analysts.

The representation has accorded the country different opportunities that may help in the development of the country.

In his message, the Chief Minister rolled out the activities and positive movements in which they were involved that got the country a positive impact.

President Bio gave a high-level keynote at the UN Food Systems Summit on the School Meals panel highlighting how we moved from 250,000 children to ~800,000 in 5 years (~80% supported by GoSL). 

The German government announced a 22 million Euros grant to two countries (and Sierra Leone to benefit with about 10 million) for school feeding.

The Chief Minister represented President Bio at the ECAM Council and gave the Keynote on his behalf.

President Bio had a truly amazing bilateral with the Secretary-General of the UN who not only congratulated him but gave his total support and full solidarity to the government.

President Bio attended the Opening with other world leaders including the Ethiopian Prime Minister.

President Bio had a bilateral with the WHO Director-General who gave a lot to Sierra Leone because of President Bio’s leadership. We will make our soon-to-be-launched Public Health Agency a model in the world.
