Sierra Leone’s President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio on Saturday, April 4, 2026, commissioned a new office for the Sierra Leone People’s Party in Mattru Jong, describing the party as uniquely positioned to lead the country’s transformation.
Speaking at the event, President Bio said the SLPP “stands out as the only party with a clear vision and a strong path to transform Sierra Leone.” He added that the party is on “an unstoppable journey,” building on what he described as significant progress made over the years.
The President also reflected on the completion of the Mattru Jong office, noting that the project was initiated by his late associate, Moses Jude Probyn. “It fills me with pride to see the Mattru Jong office complete, a project started by my late friend Moses Jude Probyn,” he stated.

The commissioning of the office forms part of ongoing efforts by the SLPP to strengthen its presence across the country.
Party supporters and local residents attended the ceremony, which highlighted the significance of the new facility as a base for political organization and engagement in the region.
President Bio’s remarks emphasized continuity within the party’s leadership and its long-term political agenda, while also paying tribute to individuals who contributed to its development.
