President Bio has recounted that, he has served the nation with a total commitment and passion in his five years mandate and looks forward to working with the people in a next mandate should he be given a second term in office after the June 24 general elections.

“I have served the great Sierra Leonean people with commitment and passion, and to the best of my ability with the help of the almighty god.

I look forward to my next mandate and working with the next parliament for the benefit of all Sierra Leoneans.

May God bless us all and our beloved Sierra Leone, making her great and prosperous” he noted.

Given a clue from his attendance to the dissolution of the fifth parliament of the second republic of Sierra Leone, president bio maintained that, his administration’s developmental achievements in fulfilling their 2018 New Direction Manifesto promises has been great and one of the highlights to the people of Sierra Leone in his five years in office.

“On Tuesday, 25th April, 2023 I attended the dissolution of the fifth parliament of the second Republic of Sierra Leone.

My annual address to the parliament on my SLPP administration’s national development achievements in fulfilment of our 2018 new direction manifesto promises to our people has been one of the highlights of my five years in office. I always looked forward to the opening of parliament with greater anticipation and excitement.

As President of the Republic, I thank the speaker, deputy speaker, clerk and members of parliament immensely for working closely with my government. Even with a hung parliament, we repealed, amended, and enacted over 75 laws. That is as commendable as it is unprecedented in our nation’s history.

As the heartbeat of our nation, parliament embodies the values and aspirations of our people, ensuring that their voices are heard and their interests are represented.

Through their leadership and hard work, our legislative dreams have been brought to fruition”. He maintained.
