President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has officially launched the “One Year into His Second Term Achievements” magazine during the maiden Government Presidential Town Hall in Freetown.
This landmark event, organized by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education (MoICE) in partnership with AYV and SLBC, took place at the Bintumani Conference Center on July 23, 2024. The magazine, a testament to the dedication and hard work of the President, was meticulously compiled by a team drawn from MoICE staff, under the leadership of Minister Chernor Bah.
The “One Year into His Second Term Achievements” magazine encapsulates a series of deliverables from various sectors, underscoring President Bio’s unwavering commitment to the promises outlined in the New Direction Manifesto of 2023. In 2023, President Bio vowed to consolidate the gains from his previous term and drive forward the agenda set forth in the manifesto. This magazine serves as a comprehensive record of the strides made in this direction in the past one year of President Bio’s second term in office.
The magazine showcases significant achievements across key areas, including, human capital development, technology and innovation, the Feed Salone Initiative, economic growth, women’s empowerment, transportation and infrastructure, energy sector improvements, and youth development initiatives.
In a short speech during the launch, President Bio referred to the magazine as a “great document” for citizens to reference regarding his government’s progress on the Big Five game changers. He expressed his pride in the accomplishments of the past year and reiterated his commitment to driving forward the development agenda for the betterment of all Sierra Leoneans.
“This magazine is not just a record of our achievements; it is a testament to our dedication to the promises we made. It serves as a guide for our citizens to understand and appreciate the progress we are making in transforming our nation,” President Bio stated.
To ensure transparency and widespread dissemination of information, copies of the magazine were distributed to citizens who attended the town hall. Additionally, plans are underway to make the magazine available to the broader public, ensuring that all Sierra Leoneans have access to this valuable resource.
The launch of the “One Year into His Second Term Achievements” magazine stands as a testament to the progress made under President Bio’s leadership and the government’s ongoing efforts to deliver on its commitments to the people of Sierra Leone. As the nation moves forward, this magazine will serve as a benchmark for measuring progress and a reminder of the shared vision for a brighter future.
Just another opportunity to continue wasting the little resources left.
I didn’t blame them, I blamed the grammarians and the English language teachers who teach abstract in schools, and Maada Bio understand such a concept very well. Therefore, everything he does is in abstract. Reduction in inflation in the abstract, progress and development in the abstract. Thank God He(God) is in the abstract, soon Sierra Leone will be in the abstract.
