The Central Police Division has confirmed that a little boy was found drowned in one of the swimming pools at Victoria Park earlier today.

The identity of the boy is yet to be established.

According to reports from the Criminal Investigations Department, the incident occurred at around 9 am this morning.

“D/ inspector Munu and team together with mortuary staff visited the scene at Victoria park, Freetown, collected the remains of the little boy and conveyed to the mortuary at Connaught Hospital Freetown for autopsy purpose,” the police stated.

The Central Police Station is currently dealing with the case, and investigations are ongoing. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.

The Police has also released photos of the scene, hoping that anyone with information about the incident will come forward and assist with the investigations.
