The SDO has issued a declaration regarding the pending paramount Chieftaincy elections petition in the High Court, despite the Judiciary being disregarded.

Since the passing of Chief Kposowa III, the Paramount Chieftaincy of Bumpe Ngoa has been the subject of contention, with various ruling houses vying for the position, including the Gbekpas, Makavoray, Kposowa, and Kobba.

In 2018, during the Presidential election petition involving the President himself, proper procedures were followed, and a ruling was handed down by the Court. The dismissal of the Accountant General also followed due process. The President has never issued an Executive Order to bypass established procedures, therefore, it is misleading to suggest that such a meeting was held at the Bumpe Court Barray.

It appears that false assumptions and threats are being used as a distraction tactic to sway public opinion towards accepting certain actions. It is concerning that the SDO’s actions are being portrayed as superior to the pending decision of the High Court. This disregard for the law is unacceptable. The lack of transparency, such as the absence of videos of the meeting on social media, raises further questions about the legitimacy of these actions
