Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh, met with Leah Cathrine Williamson OBE, an English professional footballer who currently represents Women’s Super League club Arsenal and serves as the captain of the England Women’s National Team, during the “Elevating Education” event at the SDG Summit 2023.

Minister Sengeh emphasized that they have united as a team dedicated to elevating education worldwide, expressing optimism for achieving significant positive outcomes by 2023.

“At the SDGSummit2023 pavilion event on “elevating education,” England and Arsenal Captain Leah Williamson and I agreed that for education, we are both on the same team. I believe we can accelerate towards the 2030 Goals and, together, WeWillDeliver” he stated.

He also stated that, there is a great focus for youths’ development in every sector in Africa “The youth of Africa are our greatest asset and opportunity. Reform of global governance, financial and other institutions must reflect their voices!
