Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, ventured into the vibrant nightlife of the East part of the city last night, marking an unexpected but remarkable engagement with the community.

During his visit, Dr. Sengeh made his first stop at the Liberia Bar, where he had an insightful conversation with Atical Foryoh, known as the East Coast Power Bank. From there, he proceeded to the 20/20 nightclub, where he met with the club’s CEO, Mr. Tunde Marcathy, commonly referred to as Tumac.

This unanticipated move by the Chief Minister has garnered praise from various quarters, as it demonstrates a unique approach to leadership by engaging with the grassroots and less privileged citizens of Sierra Leone.

The primary objective of the tour was to connect with the people and gain firsthand insight into their lifestyles. Dr. Sengeh took the opportunity to listen to the concerns and challenges faced by the owners of both Liberia Bar and 20/20 nightclub, highlighting his commitment to understanding and addressing the issues affecting various sectors of society.

This initiative has received commendations from those who see it as an exemplary demonstration of leadership that prioritizes the concerns and well-being of all citizens, irrespective of their backgrounds
