This morning, January 6, 2025, Abdul Fatoma, Chief Executive of the Campaign for Human Rights and Development International (CHRDI), hosted a significant meeting with key representatives from the European Union (EU) Delegation in Sierra Leone at the CHRDI office in Freetown.
Present at the meeting were the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation and the Programme Manager for Governance and Civil Society from the EU office.
The discussion centered on critical issues related to human rights and democracy, with both parties underscoring the universality and indivisibility of human rights. A key topic on the agenda was CHRDI’s upcoming Civic Space initiative, aimed at promoting active citizen engagement and safeguarding civil liberties.
Abdul Fatoma expressed optimism about building a strong partnership with the EU in Sierra Leone, noting the mutual benefits such collaboration could bring to advancing human rights and governance in the country. “We look forward to working closely with the EU Delegation in Sierra Leone on these crucial issues,” Fatoma stated.
The meeting was hailed as productive, setting the stage for future joint efforts between CHRDI and the EU to strengthen human rights advocacy and governance in Sierra Leone.
This collaboration signifies a significant step in reinforcing democratic values and ensuring the protection of human rights in the region.
Who doesn’t know that Abdul Fatoma is a Party Card Carrier of the SLPP? He is on record sitting down on AYV and Radio Democracy 98.1 stations telling the whole world that, ” We know that there were challenges in the elections of 2023″ but Sierra Leoneans should accept the outcome and move on”. Clearly, he was seen compromising the thievery of the Multi -Tier Elections results by Maada Bio and ECSL. Some school of thought say that Abdul Fatoma is one of the core members who undermined democracy in Sierra Leone hiding under the cloak of civil society. He is part of a conspiracy against the people of Sierra Leone, and we’ll stop at nothing to write to development partners to expose their evil acts.
