Sierra Leone’s First Lady Fatima Bio was visited by representatives of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at her Goderich office in Freetown on Friday 19th July 2024.
During their meeting, they talked about the impending conference and the First Lady’s contribution to its planning and execution. Despite being a Muslim Madam Fatima Bio expressed her delight and dedication to hosting the event as she greeted the delegation.
First Lady Fatima Bio was presented a Trophy of Authority from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officially recognising the nation as the host of the 7th Family Conference in 2025.
Following the end of the sixth conference in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, there was general consensus that the following conference would take place in Sierra Leone.
Emphasizing the importance of the next conference for Sierra, Madam Fatima Bio reaffirmed her efforts to promoting all religious endeavors.
“This conference is not only timely, but it also comes at a critical time for our nation. I pledge to see to it that it succeeds and to promote harmony and understanding among our people.”
Her inclusive style and strong leadership ensure that the 7th Family Conference in 2025 will be a huge success.
