The Deputy Commissioner for the National Youth Commission (NAYCOM), Emerson Kamara has engaged Representatives from the Armed Forces Technical and Education College (AFTEC) and National Council for Technical Vocational and other Academic Awards (NCTVA).

The engagement was based on a preplanning preparation which is geared to capacitating eighty young women in essential life skills training. These young women who may be also given back to the nation through their intervention into different communities around the country.

In his statement, the Deputy Commissioner Emerson Kamara said NAYCOM will be providing funding and equipment through the support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

He added that they play a vital role in building human capacity and complement the effort of the president in his human resources development drive.

He said as a commission they remain committed to making sure that the activities and affairs of the youths in the country are taken into very serious consideration.

In response, Colonel Bockarie, Director of Armed Forces Technical and Education College (AFTEC) expressed his gratitude for this partnership.

He noted that as part of their Job to facilitate the Trainers and Trainees, adding that they as an institution will ensure these young people have the best training ever.

He ended by thanking NAYCOM and NCTVA for their alliance, adding that they are looking forward to more government support and partnership from other institutions.
