Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Deputy Commissioner, Augustine Foday Ngobie, has on the 31st January 2023, lectured 1000 police recruits, including 241 females and other senior training instructors at the Hastings Police Law Enforcement Academy.
The lecture focused on the concept of corruption, its effects, the benefits of a corrupt-free Sierra Leone, the work of the ACC-SL, the integrity standards required of public officers, and the need for all to support the fight against corruption.
This Lecture, which is part of the routine for every crop of recruits, is aimed at providing a platform for police recruits to be given sufficient information and knowledge on corruption, especially as it relates to and affects the SLP.
The recruits were encouraged to work diligently with great emphasis on matters of corruption.
