In response to recent concerns surrounding the toll increase on the Wellington-Masiaka Highway, China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG) has pledged its continued dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Sierra Leone.
The company outlined a series of new initiatives planned for communities along the highway corridor, including construction of parking lots, installation of solar lights and traffic lights, and the establishment of a market.
The company said it will also implement Initiatives designed to directly empower and uplift communities residing near the highway.
This announcement comes after Sierra Leone’s Parliament approved a rise in toll fees for the Wellington-Masiaka Highway. CRSG emphasized its unwavering commitment to the country’s social and economic well-being, highlighting its history of responsible corporate practices since establishing a presence in Sierra Leone in 2007.
