The National Coordinator of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre Mrs. Mariama Yormah and a delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime represented by Kamal Toure Project Coordinator( Regional Office for West Africa and Central Africa) and Mohamed Bah, Programme Officer, Global Programme on Cybercrime paid a working visit to the Anti-Corruption Commissioner Francis Ben Kelfala at his Gloucester street office.

The visit was mainly to explore means and ways to support ACC on cyber-related crimes, including learning about the various challenges faced by ACC in handling cyber-related matters.

Also, on Monday 16th January 2023, the NCCC with support from UNODC will host 4-day training sessions for all Prosecutors at the Radisson Blu Hotel Aberdeen. The Anti-Corruption Commission’s prosecution team will benefit from this training session.

“These training are timely for our professional prosecutors and I wholeheartedly welcome the idea. The ACC and the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre will continue to collaborate in fighting cybercrimes”. Ben Keifala said.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime plans to support the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre and law enforcement agencies with capacity building and tools after this scoping visit.
