The Director of the Sierra Leone Law School, Dr. Abubakarr Bangura, has on 25 March 2025, publicly announced that all those applying to Law School will be expected to take an entrance exam as part of their admissions process.
The examination, scheduled for July, will comprise of a three-hour paper split into two sections of Part A and Part B.
Part A will examine applicants’ understanding of different basic legal disciplines, including Tort Law, Contract Law, Constitutional Law, Equity and Trust, Land Law, Evidence Law, and Criminal Law.
Applicants will be expected to respond to short questions based on these topics.
Part B will examine candidates’ comprehension of Sierra Leone’s Legal System.
The Director of the Sierra Leone Law School, Dr. Abubakarr Bangura, said that the actual date of the Entrance Examination will be made available to applicants in due course.
Applicants are advised to study thoroughly for the exam to meet the school’s academic criteria. The Council of Legal Education is said to be dedicated to ensuring the standards and reliability of legal schooling in Sierra Leone through a strict selection process.
