Leaked document from an inside source has confirmed to this medium that Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s health condition is deteriorating since his involvement in an alleged coup d’etat, and if he is not flown out for proper medical attention, might deteriorate further.
According to the document written by renowned cardiologist Dr. Jibao Russell, over the last three years, former President Koroma has been battling with hypertension, diabetes and cardiac problems. But over the last two months since his alleged involvement in a coup, his health condition has worsened.
The popular medical doctor’s report indicates that former President Ernest Bai Koroma has been having severe chest pain lately and requires a medical procedure that cannot be done in Sierra Leone. According to the report, the former president risks having a severe heart attack if he is not immediately treated for the said ailments.
A judicial source has also intimated this medium that President Bio has been told of the former president’s medical condition and has felt pity for him. The usually impeccable source said President Bio’s humane and compassionate nature moved him into asking that his predecessor be given all the medical help he requires including flying him out for treatment.
This suggestion made by the current president, has ignited a debate amongst circles, with some saying that the state prosecutors of the Ernest Bai Koroma case, will not object to the bail application made by his lawyers earlier. If this is the case, then the court might grant the application made by Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara and Co, on behalf of Ernest Bai Koroma for him to be given bail on medical grounds.
President Bio does not want to interfere into the legal procedure, but is also not averse to the idea of granting bail to Ernest Bai Koroma since his health is fading.
No way EBK need to face justice we don’t need any medical report on these treasonable offences EBK need to replay the blood he has been shell I’m Sierra Leone, we’ll waiting to see justice,

To me I that the former president EBK is sick an he needs medical attention that is true.but my question is this.is there no other advance medical country like Ghana, south Africa,India.the former president EBK can seek for his medication only in Nigeria.

This is hog wash. The man knew he had a medical condition and he dabbled himself in an act to overthrow a democratically elected government. Is his life better than the 21 soldiers, prison officer, and police man who died in the failed attempted coup? Let him clear himself of the charges against him. His medical condition is not unique. Millions around the world have similar cases; it’s not unique to him to warrant going for treatment outside Sierra Leone. His doctor here can handle his case.

This is a plan by the government since he has denied ECOWAS what they asked him for. When did EBK go to any African country for treatment? Not to talk of Nigeria.
Since the president of ECOWAS came everything has changed and this is how he wants to send EBK to Nigeria but if he did that, he should also send Koit and others to Nigeria.
