The Sierra Leone Police have launched a manhunt for a driver who allegedly violated traffic light instructions and fatally struck a bike rider at Tengbeh Town in Freetown.

According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the tragic incident occurred when the driver failed to stop at a red light and violently collided with the bike rider, resulting in the rider’s immediate death. Witnesses described the vehicle speeding through the intersection without regard for the traffic signals before striking the victim with great force.

Following the collision, the driver reportedly fled the scene in panic, racing toward the Tengbeh Town Bridge in an attempt to evade capture. The incident has sparked outrage among residents and motorists in the area, who are calling for swift justice.
