The Management of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has announced a power outage affecting nine communities across Freetown following a technical fault on the 33kV line, reportedly caused by heavy rainfall.
The affected areas include Wilberforce, Regent, Lumley, Juba, Juba Hill, Goderich, Mile 13, Sussex, and Spur Road all of which are supplied through the 33kV line.
According to the Authority, an inspection has been conducted and the fault identified. Repair works have already commenced and are expected to be completed today, October 13, 2025.
EDSA has apologized to residents in the affected areas for the inconvenience and assured the public that efforts are underway to restore power as soon as possible.
